Smaller structures like photovoltaic systems, external staircases or halls are usually constructed on solid foundations. In such cases, the soil is excavated and taken away. The necessary concrete must be delivered and installed with reinforcing steel. The foundation can only be loaded in full after several weeks have passed.

BFtec developed a Borefundaments to achieve an anchoring capable of accommodating up to 30 metric tons without any extensive concrete work. The load-bearing element is a steel pipe having a diameter of 60 to 355 mm depending on the intended purpose. The especially designed cutting helixes, which are welded to the pipe at the top and bottom end of the planned anchor length, allow for screwing into the ground. Pipes with smaller diameters are installed using a handheld device, while pipes with larger diameters require the use of a special excavator. Pre-drilling is necessary in case of diameters greater than 300mm and for anchoring in rocky substrates. In case of removal, the pipe can be removed from the ground by turning counterclockwise. There is no building waste to worry about.
